A lot of people come to Her Spirit Creates with a version of the same sentence: "I'm not really an artist, but..."
Finish that sentence however you want. The "but" is the part that matters. There's something pulling you toward creative expression — and something in the way.
Here's what Marianne promises when you work with Her Spirit Creates.
Your journey is yours.
The process starts with what you need, not what a curriculum decides you need. Support means meeting you where you are.
No fixing. No saving……you find your answers.
The role of HSC is not to hand you answers or show you "the way." The creative process is designed to help you find your own creative expression. Marianne holds the space. You do the work…with fun, joy, and an open mind.
No judgment.
Not about your art. Not about your life. Not about how fast or slow you move, or how messy the work gets. Mess is usually where the good stuff lives. (Don’t I know it!)
A safe container for the real stuff.
The longings, the questions, the things that don't fit anywhere else — creative practice has a way of drawing those out. That's not a side effect. That's the point.
Honesty, even when it's uncomfortable.
This is not a cheerleading session. You'll be asked real questions. You'll be invited to sit with real answers.
What creativity actually is, when you strip away everything you were told about it in school, is a practice of paying attention. To yourself. To what moves you. To what keeps showing up.
That's what this is about.
