I can’t remember how I found this song, but someone in my Spirit Squad introduced me to it. And I friggen LOVE it. I’ve been singing it over and over…and deeply thinking about a truck, ‘cause I already have a puppy. (See more below on Hazel!)

A bit of a backstory…
Recently, I was hanging out with my studio pup, Hazel, and this song came on because we were listening to my Happy Hazel playlist .
Of course, yes….we sang it together thinking about what kind of truck we’d want. Recently I’ve really been loving the color combo of cherry red, turquoise, and chocolate brown. So I started imagining the truck that Hazel and I could cruise in. I began to envision a firey red, Joan of Arc’ing flame color, with blue flames.
You’ll notice in my artwork many of my pieces have these colors and fire is definitely a Her Spirit Creates ATeam symbol!
Any rate, this song, Puppy And A Truck is hilarious. Brilliant. Jenny Lewis is voice of fun. Creativity with a DEFINITE spirited spirit. You can tell by her lyrics, her voice, the video that Jenny most certainly just knows stuff. She’s got a voice and is using it!
Jenny and I aren’t friends (yet!). And based on this video, I can tell we’d laugh and have a grand ole time!
Here at HSC, I love of glittery rhinestones, a catchy tune with MEANING and also a song I want to sing to my dog when I am having a bonding moment. I love singing to Hazel, and this one is a fav of ours!
It’s the lyrics of Puppy and A Truck that get me every time.
Ohh, you have to listen to the whole song to really take it in, but there are SO MANY good lines in this song. I think it was this one that made me laugh with delight and is probably my favorite of SO MANY quotable ones.
